Predictive AI: Code a Model That Predicts

Self-paced · About 14 hours · Final assessment within 3 weeks of unlocking · 100% online

Predictive AI powers recommendations, forecasts and diagnosis tools. In this level you code a prediction model from scratch, using distance between examples to classify new cases, and you learn how professionals judge whether a model can be trusted.

What you will be able to do

  • Represent real objects as numeric features
  • Measure distance between data points
  • Code a nearest neighbour classifier from scratch
  • Evaluate predictions with accuracy and an error table
  • Spot overfitting and choose better settings
Level project: A classifier, written by you, that predicts the type of an object from its measurements.
