Before you pay anything, find out exactly where you stand. Tell us your situation and our admissions team sends you a personalized roadmap by email within 2 to 3 business days. There is no cost, and no obligation to enrol.
It is a short form and a considered reply. You tell us your grade, your subject area, the course you are aiming at and how you want to study. Our admissions team reads it and writes back with a plan built around your situation.
| Cost | Free. There is no charge at any point in the assessment. |
| Obligation | None. No seat is held, no enrolment is created and no payment is requested. |
| Time to submit | About two minutes. |
| Your reply | By email, within 2 to 3 business days. |
| Who reviews it | The admissions team, or the international admissions team if you are studying from outside Canada. |
| Where it leads | If you decide to go ahead after reading your assessment, the next step is the intake application and an offer with an invoice. That step is separate, and it is your choice. |
Your current standing
A clear picture of where you are in your OSSD journey, based on the details you give us.
Your best options
The fastest routes to the courses you still need, whether you study online or in person.
A plan that fits your timeline
Sessions begin six times a year, so the next start date is never far away. We tell you which one works for your deadline.
Choose your route by where you will be studying from, not by your nationality. These are the situations we see most often.
One credit short of an offer
You are in Grade 12 and a university offer depends on a single missing course. You need to know whether it can be finished in time, and by which date.
A mark that is holding you back
You have the course, but the grade is below what the programme asks for. You want to know whether repeating it is worth doing, and how quickly it can be done.
Returning after time away
You left school before finishing and you are now 18 or over. You want to know how much of what you already have can be recognised rather than repeated, and what is genuinely left to earn.
This route is for students applying from another country, and for students already in Canada on a temporary status.
International transcripts, Ontario requirements
You hold school results from another country and want a preliminary view of how they map into the Ontario system.
Already in Canada, but blocked at the local school
You are in the country on a temporary status and the local public school cannot register you. You want a route that works now.
Applying to Canadian universities from abroad
You know the programmes you want and need to be sure which Grade 12 courses they expect.
What this route means in practice
| No travel required | There is no requirement to be physically present in Canada. Your course runs fully online. |
| No study permit or PAL | No study permit, and no Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL), is required to study with us online from outside Canada. |
| Learning material included | The school provides the learning material for your course. |
| Blocked at a public school in Canada | If a local public school cannot register you because of a temporary status, say so in the form and we will set out what we can offer. |
| Built around your time zone | Work is scheduled by the week rather than by the hour, so a time difference does not stop you. |
| Six start dates a year | Sessions begin in September, November, January, March, May and July. You are never waiting for September. |
| One course at a time | A full 1.0 credit course of 110 scheduled hours, finished in six weeks, with a published start and finish date. |
| Online, or in person | Every course runs online in every session. A selection of English, mathematics and computer studies courses also runs in class at our Vaughan campus. |
| Grades 9 to 12 | Twenty six OSSD courses across the subject areas students most often need. |
| Recognition for mature students | For students aged 18 and over, much of what has already been completed can be recognised rather than repeated. |
| Nothing to print or post | The whole process is online, from the first form to your final report. |
We would rather tell you this now than after you apply.
Apply first, rather than writing to us first
The assessment is built from the details the form collects, such as your grade, your subject area, your course and your format. A message sent before you apply does not give us enough to assess, so it will not make your reply arrive any sooner. Submit the form, and your written assessment follows within 2 to 3 business days.
